Knitty: little purls of wisdom
Title
beauty shot
Tangy

I find my greatest moments of inspiration, when collecting things I come across in nature. I get lost in my head collecting flowers, twigs, sea glass, driftwood, and other treasures. These walks are a peaceful time where my mind can wander freely and my thoughts begin to make sense. I've always loved pressing flowers and leaves into sketchbooks to mark a place and time in my life. The flowers I don't press curl up and dry, becoming beautiful small sculptures that find a place in my home.

When knitting I gravitate towards textures and stitch patterns that remind me of these treasured objects. This is what lead me to the pattern stitch for Wild Clover, an easy to memorize stitch with bobbles for texture and just a touch of lace. The bobble and eyelets form a shape reminiscent of both young florals and the shape they form as they dry.
