An announcement!

Knitty magazine is pleased to announce the appointment of Jillian Moreno as Editor of Knittyspin. As our readers know, Jillian has been a vital part of Knitty since we began, and Jillian's experience and passion for knitting and spinning [as well as countless other qualifications] make her the perfect choice for the position. She's also great fun at parties.

I will continue to write the Knittyspin column, but Jillian will direct the rest of the magazine, growing it into what we hope will be the best online knitting/spinning resource available.

Everyone, please congratulation Jillian with me!

---

As a result, I get a promotion too. I'm now Editor-In-Chief of Knitty. Rock.

[This is a change in title only for me. I'll still be doing exactly what I've always done for the magazine. Now I can rest easier, knowing that Knittyspin will get the attention it deserves in Jillian's infinitely qualified hands, and can grow alongside Knitty.]

Comments:
Editor in Chief!! Self promotion is grand I tell ya! And it couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

Jillian as Knittyspin editor. Woot! I do hope she will be sharing tips for how to get the hubby and kiddo to spin for me. I really do need those energized singles to play with!

You'll have pics for us soon from your big adventure yes? (:

Cool stuff!

BTW- I had my store order your Big Girl book. They hadn't even heard of it! The horrors! So if you see some people trying to get it in Abq it's my store! :)

Woohoo Jillian!

Very exciting! Congratulations Jillian and Amy!

Congrats to you both!!! Amylovie and I so enjoyed meeting you in person and she is SO jazzed to have a photo with you for her blog. Somehow I missed the Red Scarf project - probably it is from having my head buried in shop start up tasks. I love this and will post links on my blog and make a scarf myself for the cause. I love Knitty and am looking forward to what you all have planned for the future.

Woo Hoo to the both of you! Congrats.

Soooo nice partying with you at Kristine's house last weekend. I have some pictures on my blog! Go see! Been spinning my hankies on my new Bosworth- VERY nice, but I'm not quite as good as you YET... Next time, let's break out the wheels.

Talk to you later,
Mary-Kay

hey Amy- would you mind sending me your email? Scout & I have a project we'd like to pick yer brain about a little! thanks!!

No one better could possibly have either position!
