abusing technology for the sake of amusement

Thanks to Mary Burr, I found Odeo tonight.

You can listen to my frivolous waste of bandwidth here. It's just over 3 minutes long.

For some reason, the last few seconds weren't recorded. All I said was something like, "well, that's it. I'm not sure if I'll do this again. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think."

I'm kind of scared to hear what you think, but what the hell. You gotta live on the edge, eh?

Hey, I thought it was fun! It's another dimension to the blog to hear what you sound like (since I haven't otherwise had the privilege). And just think how many more words per minute you can blog out loud than you can type.

I would have crippling stage fright if I tried to audio blog; I admire anyone who has the courage to put their voice on the internet. I'm not sure why but putting photos of my body up seems so much less risky than my voice. . .

You do talk fast. But not so fast that it's difficult to understand (although it might just be that you have the same accent as me and right now I've gotten used to listening to a bunch of southerners who don't enunciate; the Canadian habit of running words together quickly isn't nearly as hard to understand as the drawled-out heavy emphasis on every garbled syllable that you hear down here in GA). Also, it's so much easier to hear your personality than in a written post. Which I guess might have something to do with why I fear the audio post, eh?

You're adorable. :)

it's great and you don't talk to fast.

Your blog is so informative and cutting edge. (I still use Pandora thanks to you!) Thanks for sharing Odeo with us. Your vocal blog entry was a lot of fun.

Thanks,

Kristin

Hey Amy, I like it! I'm going to have to try it out for the benefit of my friends with low vision. Thanks for the link.

Love the audioblog. Can't wait to hear more:)

That was fun! If I ever finish with school and still have 2 brain cells to rub together, I may give this a go. Thanks for sharing.
