ann called it.

yup. this is one hellish case of the epizootics. i was in bed ALL. FREAKING. WEEK. Saturday morning right through till today, when i really wanted nothing more than to continue bedness. the day job folk have been exceptionally patient with my ookies, so i had to go clear up some stuff today. which i did.

and then back to my jammies and my bed, which i deeply love.

so no, not really better yet, but better than i was two days ago. sort of.

they'd better start ramping up that flu shot they're giving us [i got one last fall. ahem.] cause clearly they're missing a few bad bugs.

---

meanwhile, not much else is new around here. i did get a killer dollop of uruguayan yummy which i'll be showing off soon. nothing i can knit, but the rest of you will love it.

oh, and there's this big ol magazine that i've gotta get out for early April. so i'll be kinda busy for the next bit, between coughing bouts.

---

mostly, i'm very grateful that i got the cold THIS month, and not next.

ciao, tutti!

Comments:
You're right, this month is better to be sick in.

And with the flu shot, they have to guess which strains will be virulent the year before so they can produce the vaccine. I'm guessing they got it wrong this year.

Hope you're better soon.

Oooh, the flu really stinks. Please rest as much as you need to, and don't worry if knitty is late. Your health is much more important!

Can't wait to meet you and Jillian at your launch party in May at Thread Bear. I learned to knit doing projects from your first book. You've really stoked my love for knitting. Thanks!

My household just got over this flu, and just as a warning, you should feel better soon, but the cough seems to linger a while longer, like a couple of weeks.

I am so sorry you are suffering... Try some hot tea with honey and it seems to help with the cough.

Poverina! Spero che senti meglio presto!

P.S. Lo sai, sono proprio contenta che tu non sei un pollo.

baaak!

yucky poo :( Hope you start feeling well at an alarming rate...

Yep, got it here too. I'm past the puking and on to the general intestinal upset and coughing stage. This one's a pig.
See you at the Duke!

ALL. FREAKING. WEEK. Well put Amy...When the doc told me I had the flu, I said "NO, I had a flu shot!"...She said "Sorry, it doesn't always work, now go home and go to bed for a few days." Sending you a toast (warm tea with a shot of whiskey) for good health to you, me and other afflicted souls. Bottoms up! Take care.

Yup, we had it, too...and with book deadline looming, no less. It took a good 2 weeks to get over mine! Sending love and honey-laden (/ booze-laden) toddies your way...

Sorry you're feeling sick! Hope you feel better soon.
