i loves the shwag

I can't help myself. Yesterday, I was browsing stuff online and remembered how much I loved the loteria* cards I saw people using as embellishment at the Renegade Craft Fair last summer. So I went looking for them. And then it hit me.

24 hours, one photoshoot with the obliging husband [the yarn is Silken and the needles are a pair of my Grandma's], linguistic input from several kind people and a lot of Photoshop work later, voila.

I hope you like. The stuff is in the Knitty shop. I'm gonna order some right now.

*loteria = mexican bingo

Comments:
Gotta tell you, this is the first knit related shwag I REALLY like. LOVE IT! Thank you!

cara, i'm honored! thank you! :-)

Those are brilliant, Amy! Great job with the art!

Lovely and now on my wish list for next month's spending budget.

Is there a significance to the 27 in the corner? (I assume that's how the loteria cards are setup, just wondering why you chose that number...)

Amy M

it's my favorite number. that's all :-)

(and savvy loteria lovers will note it's also the number of the card that features El Corazon -- the heart -- which kind of looks like this pic. A big bleeding realistic heart with an arrow stabbed through it. I think I prefer needles and yarn. Less messy)

This is the first cafe press stuff I totally, completely want. Very rad!

I agree with quikeye. Just wanted to say I love it.

i love them! i have loteria cards. i even sort of know how to play!

rockin! i dig it! muchas grassyass! ;-)

Amy those are fantastic. That and the "canknittyan" logo are fierce!

I wanna be Canknittyan!!!!

You, my sweetypie, are brilliant as usual. Woop!

This is too perfect. I love to knit, I majored in Hispanic Studies, my son's birthday is on the 27th of November, and I just won $21 in an office pool.
GREAT JOB!!!!

These would make Kick. Ass. LJ. Icons.

Can I use "El Tejedor"? I would for sure let people know the origins thereof.

Please? Pretty please?

I agree with Cara, I love that button, can i use it in my blog? Please!!!
By the way, Loterya is something we have in Spain too, just it's called Loteria Nacional (National lotto)
