My favorite cool thing this week

How did I not know this existed? It seems 189 people have joined the Flickr group called "Knits from Knitty". They show pics of their Knitty-based knits in progress or finished and it's an amazing resource.

So many Clapotises! [How DO you pluralize that?] A really gorgeous Rosedale. Kate the britchy cat in every color combination! And tons more.

Definitely bookmarking this one.

What's great is the amount of pics tagged with 'knitty' that aren't even in the pool. 2900 photos!

I added some of my knits to the pool. I'd love to see more Cleos out there!

I call them Clapoteaux.

We generally use 'Clapoti.'

Many thanks, from the gal with the Rosedale!! :)

I'm so glad you pointed me to this. It certainly speaks to some well written patterns, to be followed by so many folk. (And my two are Clapoti, pronounced clap-oh-tea.)

"Clapotis" is French for "Waves", so it is a Plural Word to start with...

So the Plural of "Clapotis" is "Clapotis"

However, you could say "Many waves", which would be "Plus de clapotis" I believe.

That looks really cool - must go and add my knits! :)

I was taught if the word ended in an "s" then you just use a ' mark...so clapotis'
