Are you going to the Knitters' Fair on Saturday?

I'll be there. In fact, I'm speaking at 3pm in the hall there. The topic: knitting & the internet. A real beginner's intro, meant for the hardcore oldskool knitters who haven't yet learned what treasures reside on our beloved web.

If you want to come, you're very welcome to [there are a whole bunch of speakers scheduled for tomorrow, including Sally Melville -- i think she's at 10am. It's all included with your admission]! Just don't roll your eyes at me when you hear me talk about what a blog is, where to find good patterns, and how to be sure you're buying safely on the web.

[Did you know that the majority of knitters never ever go online? Can you even imagine how many people that is?]

Comments:
That's pretty crazy.

Hey, someone needs to spread the word of the gosphel, right? Ok, that may sound a bit... over the top, but I couldn't imagine where I'd be (knitting-wise) without those precious three Ws. I mean, where else *would* one go for immediate help and reassurance? I can't even imagine. I say whip those knitters into shape!

I am not, but wish I was. Good luck with your talk...an image of my former M-I-L comes to mind, mousing with her right hand and clicking with her left: one mouse, two hands.

I hear you're going with Ms Laura - if you're free this evening and are interested, come to my birthday party with her! Rosewater Supper Club loungey goodness, now with added Jen, Sandi and Jacquie. :)

There are knitters who don't go online?!?!

*speechless*

just show them Knitty, they'll be hooked :-D

I went to the Knitter's fair today and really enjoyed myself.I'm afraid that I don't know where to find the info that you were talking about in your speech at the show as I was there listening to you and found it interesting.Hope to hear from you at crafty_librarian20002002@yahoo.com
The information you had was amazing and I thank-you for sharing.
