first Tivo casualty

Jericho. i get enough "the sky is falling" propaganda from mainstream news outlets, which is why i haven't watched the nightly news in years. feh. season pass deleted.

Comments:
Excellent choice.

Know what you mean. I go nuts every time my parents visit, because they turn on the nightly news during dinner. It's depressing, and maybe worse, it's not even news. It's more like hyped-up, scare-story entertainment.

I felt the same way, Amy. I have a hard time getting into a story where I don't really care about the characters and this just didn't do it for me.

Don't get me started about the state of network television these days! It's always better to watch DVDs anyway isn't it? (or Tivo - lucky!)
Besides, with my new blog I'll have less time for such television viewing. I believe you're exact words were, "YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE A BLOG YET!?!"

-Julia aka "miss muffy", aka "wino"

Well, now I don't feel so bad about forgetting to DVR it myself. After watching Gerald McRaney as George Hearst in Deadwood, and being so impressed by his powerful performance, I was looking forward to seeing him in Jericho. Oh well.

Same here. Only no Tivo, so more like, I'm going to forget to watch this for as long as it is on and all reruns.

just started to read your blog... i plan to make that knitted wig for halloween. thanks for the pattern. natalie

I thought I was the only person on the planet who refuses to watch the news. The constant barrage of "HUGE EXPLOSION" and "MANIC OUTRAGE!" Everything is so over-the-top. When I went to my sis's last year for Thanksgiving, I thought I'd lose my mind. When the network news or local news wasn't on, they watched CNN. I almost went the other way and put Noggin or some other kids' programming on!
