Home safe, and I love NY

Lots to share tomorrow, so for now, I'll leave you with these [with thanks to my beloved stalker, Karen, who took them.]:
Stephanie Harlot was at the Knit Out in NY, smiling and signing. She's very good at it. I was all excited, because Storey [her publisher] made up bumper stickers for her. How cool is that? [I got one and it's going on my Knitty Heys rolly suitcase with all the other knitting stickers I've collected so far.] It was a really nice thing, seeing fellow Torontonian Steph in NY. I could have sworn I smelled a little maple syrup as I hugged her.

My beloved stalker, Karen. [She named herself my stalker, btw.] This was the first night at The Point. Not only did I meet great knitters, make new friends and have a lot of fun, but I think I drank more white tea/pomegranate Teany than is recommended by the USDA. I love that stuff.

It was a really great weekend. I love New York, and I love New Yorkers. More tomorrow.

Comments:
Really wanted to see you to say hello but my timing was all wrong. couldn't make the point on Sat. at the right time, went too early and too late to the knit out. this weekend was a mess. but I will see you in rhinebeck, m'dear.

and we love you. glad you're home safe.

DUDE! So sorry I missed you at the Knit Out. I would totally blame Kay, but I was late to pick her up and by the time we got downtown with all the traffic...hell I'll just blame Kay.
I too will see you at Rhinebeck. Damn straight.

Jealous. Jealous, jealous, jealous.

Jealous.

You know, the knitters in, say - Charlotte, NC - are even nicer! You should come see for yourself. Heh.

It was great meeting you on saturday at the Point!
Looks like you had a very busy weekend...

Hi Amy!

I love the Harlot's bumper sticker, too - I already stuck mine on one of my stash bins. When do you get a bumper sticker, too?

It was awesome hanging out with you at The Point - go check out my blog to see the picture I took of you there - it came out great (of you anyway - me, not so much...)

Ooooooh, that Teany iced tea is in fact dangerous stuff... I think I consumed my body weight in it this past June. Did you get to go to Teany proper while you were there?

oh! oh! it's a 'sign' ...the very first thing I see today are my Cyber Mentors together. Thank you, Ms. Amy, the message is clear: I am to knit All Day and finish the second sock of my Very First Pair (I am trying to begin with good knitterly habits).

Glad you're home, too, and kudos to The Stalker for the great photo.

Glad you made it home safely. It was nice meeting you (and that lovely orange handbag).

Lots of luck with your curtains!

New York loves you!!!!

Hi! I was at The Point Saturday afternoon and I think I saw you, but I was a little too nervous to say hello and I wasn't sure it was you. I've been following Knitty for a while now and have a bunch of patterns bookmarked. I'm knitting myself a Kyoto (my first sweater). I'll be sure to let you know how it comes out.

Hi, Amy! I really enjoyed meeting you Friday night at The Point. Thanks for taking a look at my design-in-progress (the subway sweater) -- I think it's going to be much more beautiful and luxe as a result of your comments. I was also thinking about the tech issue you mentioned briefly and wanted to suggest includes as an option (I know you've probably already thought of and discarded for some reason, but just in case...). I don't want to waste space details here, but feel free to email me if you're interested in where I'm going with that. Oh, and I'll see you in Rhinebeck, too!
