i can't get it out of my head

Ladylike.

If you're not into profanity, listen to the PG version. Me, I go for the R -- it's how Storm meant it and the chorus is so freaking brilliantly written that I can't stop singing it in my head. At 2am. And 3am. Really.

[yes, Storm. From Rockstar: Supernova. Now that she's been booted, I have no reason to watch the show except morbid curiosity. I quite liked INXS, but Supernova's original songs aren't doing a thing for me and the remaining vocalists, ditto. Storm and The Balls -- giggle -- have an album coming out this year. Cannot wait.]

You have to give some love to Magni. I know you're not a animal fiber kinda gal but there's no denying the amazing contribution to knitting that Icelandic wool has made.

Magni is okay, but I haven't felt it for him for weeks. Sorry. Lukas (from Toronto, even!) makes me cringe. Dilana is just wrong and Toby...? Eh. I make no predictions as to the winner. I have no idea what it is they want.

I actually thought Ryan was the right guy until his ego exploded on his last performance. I think he embarrassed himself and the band and they couldn't look him in the eye any more. Champagne? Jumping off towers of speakers? Dude, you haven't won yet. And now, not at all.

Toby looks like Sugar Ray, Magni looks like (and sounds like) the guy from Live, Lukas looks like Billie Joe from Green Day on a bad day, Dilana reminds me of some rocker chick from the early 90s that I can't finger right now. But Storm, when she wasn't making her lips all puckery like she was about to kiss Tommy Lee - I liked her.

if you ever need a live dose of storm (yes, she IS THAT GOOD LIVE) come to portland. we have a virtual plethora of yarn stores and she (at least used to) play every week at a great local club.

If you like "Ladylike" then you should also check out "Beautiful." YouTube has a live video version that Storm sung with her old band as well as all the Supernoval songs and a bunch of miscellaneous other Stormy goodness.

Check it out after you go to cdbaby.com to order your very own copy of the single "Ladylike" in either the real or artificially sweetened version. This is the actual studio version, not the one she sang on the show. It's so cool that she's finally getting the huge audience she deserves.

We Portlanders were cheering hard for Storm, but she is far too good for those Supernova dudes anyway! If you love Storm too, send her some good wishes on the discussion boards at Stormlarge.com--her hubby Davey will make sure she sees all the fan letters.
