Knitty Yarn Peek Thursdays start now!

Time for this to be a regular thing. Every Thursday, I'll have new yarn to show you...a selection of the neatest stuff I can find.

Let's start with Blue Moon, shall we? Cause we loves our Blue Moon around these parts, even if it's hard to find. [I hear they're working on that.] Blue Moon is a really friendly yarn company for a non-wool knitter like me. Their website [they're also working on that] doesn't yet hint at all the great stuff they have, but trust me. It's amazing. I've also checked with the women in charge, and the stuff in this post is currently available. I wouldn't tease you with non-existant yarn. That would be wrong.

Here's the newest thing from Tina and Kaci...tube socks!

Yes. That's a sock kit. For tube socks. In a tube.

This is sock kit #3, which contains equal quantities of Sock Candy in Borage, Coral and Curry. Sock Candy is the non-wool sock yarn from Blue Moon, and it's mostly cotton with just enough elastic so the yarn has bounce and your socks don't droop.

Pattern is included. The tube is mailable, they tell me. Stick on an address label and postage and put it in the mailbox. Seriously hot secret pal gift, no? I can't wait to start knitting these.

Then there's Koi, a shimmery viscose-wrapped cotton yarn.

Yum.

Take Koi, variegate it and add more yum and you get Sari.

Little bits of matte tube, fuzzy things.

To order, contact one of the yarn shops on the Blue Moon site, or order from Tina and Kaci directly, for anything not listed.
Tube socks for everyone!

Comments:
Megan made me a shrug out of sari and i love it

Wow--I love the tube socks in a tube. I'm all about mailing wierd packages too... Cool!

Wow, thanks for the peek! I can't waitt for BMFA to get new offerings on their site; their booths at Stitches are so amazing with the variety they carry and all of the colorways...!

The tube sock container is so rad.

Whee! Non wooly sock yarn! While it's come up lately that I may be able to use superwash woolen blends (little to no lanolin), it's still good to have alternatives, and man do I want to knit socks.

Tube socks in a tube...cute! Angeline...come check me out for cotton sock yarns! :)

Hummmm. If a gal wasn't to much on the tube sock thang, do ya think a gal maybe not sew one end up, it could be tube leg warmers? And a realy long sentance.
Hummmmm...............

oh, that's a good idea, denny! shmart girlie.

p.s. if you had a blog, we could see your Sari shrug. [poke, poke.]

Yarn Peek Thursdays are a bad, bad idea for my bank account.

Tube Socks are a brilliant idea! I mean, I'm not so big on actually making tube socks, but I love the idea of a sock kit that comes in a tube.

Those tube socks are excellent! Yet another reason The Fold will be my first stop at Rhinebeck.

OMG - my bank account is already cringing at the thought of me even peeking at the Blue Moon Website. Non wool sock yarn - yay!

I love the tube! That's so awesome. Thanks for sharing this with the rest of the world.

Aww, come on. YOu know you wanna join the cool kids for yarn pr0n fridays! There's a ring and everything! You know you wanna.

Wow! (mouth wide open!) Lovely yarn. Ooooh, I do need some. Thanks for the peek. Terry

Having toyed with Mail Art, I'm sure you can mail those tubes. Problem is, I'd be paranoid of it getting 'lost' or stolen! Thanks for sharing-ENABLER!

oooooh, that sari yarn! i feel like homer simpson, instead of drooling over doughnuts, i'm drooling over yarn.
