Imagine my surprise to find the newest from Knitty today! You have no idea what this has meant to me...9/11 is a sad day in our family and getting a treat today is by no means heaven sent. Thanks loads. I plan to not turn on the tv and peruse knitty all day today.
Lovely job, laydee - hope you enjoyed the sleep of the fulfilled. Imagine my surprise when I dialed up Knitty to look up something in the archives and BLAMMO saw a whole new ish!
What a great day off this has been for me!

A big THANK YOU to all for the hard work and late nights (early mornings)that went into this issue. You all keep me inspired; but also conflicted as to what to knit first!

Happy four years of Knitty! I remember when you started it - you know you're the one who got me knitting, right? I've loved reading all of the issues, and pretty soon I imagine I'll actually tackle a pattern. Knit on! - the artist formerly known as belle

Amy you have truly outdone yourself. This issue is spectacular. Not a single item doesn't want to jump onto my needles immediately!
My printer will be smokin' this morning that's for sure!
Wow! Large sizes, even multi-size socks! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I always enjoy reading Knitty but this time I have a serious problem ... I can't tell from the photographs what the sweaters actually look like. Probably won't try any of them since I've no clue what I'd end up with.

Sorry to hear that -- we always try to show the sweaters from different angles. Just scroll down and you'll see backs and sleeves and other closeups. even the sweaters laid flat, if that helps!

The issue is splendiferous! LOVE the cover sweater. I think the photos look great and, if I'm not mistaken, there are even more than usual?
Will you call me at work today? Even if you are coming in for S.nB. Call me so I can answer the phone right. pet the bunnies for me. I'm so knitting bunny all the time now. Can. not. stop. kntting. nice. soft. bunny. am. in. love.
I love (most of) the new knitty! You realy work hard and do a great job on this. I was a little dissapointed with the product placement in suss's sweater pictures though, and was a little dissapointed that suss's sweater was on the front. It realy wasn't anything special. Now Lizard Ridge? THAT'S a cool pattern!! Thank you for working so hard to make a place for indy designers and main stream designers alike.

Product placement? Hardly. :-) If it was, wouldn't I be driving a mercedes or something in exchange for my coercement? (Hint: I'm not. :-)
The sweater was shot on Suss' daughter in front of Suss' store (at my request, BTW). The book happened to be in the window. I *love* that sweater and I wanted it on the cover, and that's all. It doesn't hurt that I talked to Suss in person at TNNA in January about why her designs would suit big girls, but were never sized big enough to fit us. And she looked at me and said, "you're right!" and agreed to do this sweater for us. I'll do anything I can to support designers I love that go bigger, especially if it's the first time they're doing it.
More yarn for everyone I say!

hey sunshine... right now you and the goils are sittin', knittin, 'n' bitchin' while i try to clear my cloggy head of the scourge of allergies. Why is it that my favourite season must be marred by mold in the air. i was hoping to come by to wish you a hearty mazal tov on the new issue, and for making me wildly famous (people: it was the shawl, the locale and most importantly, the photographer's talent). My lesson from that moment was that a beautifully knit "objet" (en francais, s'il vous plait) will make everyone look and feel BEEYOOTEEFOOL. and just to clari8fy any misconceptions, i was NOT the knitter of the shawl. (i got an email from a friend who thinks i'm way ahead of her in the knitting department. Ha. if she only knew. My poor armless, neckless Skully, my thumbless mittens, the reversible rib shawl pattern that has me stuck on what are some apparently really easy things to do, the Rogue that i simply don't understand, even though everyone said It's sooooo EASY! - i swear, if i hear that one more time..._ ... and those are the things i'm NOT embarrassed to admit to.)
Good going again Amyleh. See/Speak soon. Hugs, Miss t.

It's cool. :) I still don't like the sweater though hehe. (but it's not like you're holding a gun to my head lol) I'm a boob girl and would need some *serious* waist shapeing and short rowing to get it too look ok on me. (love *your* book BTW, bought it for the short row instructions, kept it for the patterns) It's so true how so many designers don't think of us curvy ladies that make up half the population.

Many thanks to you, Amy, and all the Knitty Team for quality, inspiration and a solid resource for all knitters - beginners to advanced. Knitty is also an amazing showcase of talent from designers, photographers and, our very favorite, the Editor! That was a general appreciation; in particular, Happy 4th Anniversary - the Fall Knitty is stunning! I am still finding treasures with each click.
