That's not pomposity you're feeling; that's modesty and well-deserved pride, both of which are subsets of honesty. So you're being honest, which is OK. Feeling as though you're being pompous is simply yet more evidence of your sterling character.

And I'm drooling over your Golding spindles; I thought very seriously about buying one or two while I was at Rhinebeck, but I don't know how to spindle-spin, only wheel-spin. I'm sure I could have crammed one or two (or all of them - whee!) into the car for the ride home...

You are hitting all markets! Yesterday it was awesome women's magazines, today the womb pattern was listed on Seed's Daily Zeitgeist (Seed is a really cool and well written science magazine, and they find science-y things on the internet and post them to an RSS feed).
