Rhinebeck is calling you-hoo-hoo!

Someone's asked how far Rhinebeck, NY, is from Toronto. It's about 700km. Get a few knitter-friends together, rent a car and take turns driving and knitting. It's the best road trip EVER.

Also, for anyone who's going and hasn't yet arranged accommodations, we have a credit at the Brooknwood campground for a 2-4 person cabin. We're staying elsewhere, and they don't refund the rental fee we paid, which is CHEEEEEP (but still, it's money we could use back if someone needs the cabin). It's about 20 minutes from Rhinebeck, cozy and yes, the bathroom is a separate building. But it's the nicest campground bathroom I've ever seen -- warm, clean and great showers. hmm. i am waiting to hear if there is a space in a cabin but dont know what campground. hope to hear soon one way or the other.

if that doesnt work out, i would be interested. but depending on cost may not be able to swing it alone.

I'll be staying in one of the cabins at brook'n'wood as well. (Along with two other gals: one who owns a wool mill and one who is a blogger/knitter/spinner.) They have fire pits and I'm almost tempted to do marshmellows and smores.

On the way between Brook'n'wood and Rhinebeck there is the world's coolest 50s diner where you have breakfast before hitting the fair grounds.

Trust me: you want to stay at Brook'n'wood. :)

Is it 10 $ per day or is that for the whole weekend, is there room in the workshops or are they all booked ahead of time.Are there parties, are there after-parties are there V.I.P. rooms can I get on the back stage list.Can I get on any list? Will you pretened not to know me. Can I just put a ? at the end of this rant, and it will be enough for all my questions.Will I run out of questions,what should I bring to knit, do people take their wheels.Will they ( other bloggers) be gentle with me. How was your first time.?????
