here we go again!

It's time for me to start taking the No Sheep show on the road! My first date with knitters is tonight at the York Region Knitting Guild. Future dates are listed here. As new dates come up, i'll add them to this page. I believe I may be visiting places I haven't been before on this one. How cool is that?

[I keep a link to the page over there on the right -- "Meet Amy on the road"]

It's exciting! It's nerve-wracking! and starting tonight, I bring the laptop and do my shpiel electronically, with cords and cables and a remote and funky technological doo-dads. There are pictures! There is a whole trunk show! I'm surely going to say something dumb at least once during the evening. How could you miss that?

I'll also be speaking to the DKC at the end of this month and the K-W knitters' guild at the beginning of next month. And yes...I'm teaching a class in Austin, TX, at Hill Country Weavers on Earth Day! Jillian's doing a class there the day before, too. A double bill! Eee! And after that, I can't wait for the Knittyhead party at Loop in Philadelphia. Cool, eh?

So if you can, pencil me into your schedule, would ya? An empty room is a sad thing, especially when I bring my doo-dads!

p.s. If you watch ANTM, This Wonderful Man needs to be your weekly recap read. I love you, Rich Juzwiak. You make me giggle out loud.

Do you have a publicity person at Interweave who is coordinating your appearances? I work at an LYS in Northern CA. We'd love to do a book signing.

When do you guys get to austin? I'll be there from the 14th to the 18th. Am i really going to miss you??? Ugh. I love Hill Country Weavers. I travel to Austin once a year for business and when I'm not working, i spend as much time there as i possibly can without seeming stalker-ish.

The two websites I'm stalking this week....Knitty and Four-Four. I love Rich so much...he says exactly what I was thinking. (Oh Natasha, I hate you so much that it swings all the way around and turns into love.)

I love the fourfour rundowns too. Hilarious stuff.
I'll be there to see you in Austin!

I'm assuming that more will be added??

... like Boston perhaps? sometime???? :)

Oh, I'd love to meet THE Amy. Sadly, Indiana doesn't usually make it on the book tours. sigh

I guess I could make the trek up to Chicago or into Michigan if I have to. ;)

Squee you are going to be in Austin! I am going to have to make the trek up there for the class. I'm quite happy there's now a great resource for those who can't/don't use wool for various reasons.

Ahem

New York?

Dude, you are not only pencilled in, you are noted in bold with alarms to remind me in both MS Outlook and my Blackberry calendar. No Way I'd miss this.

Best.ANTM.recap.ever.period.

Can't wait till August for the Philly KnittyFest and Amyfest at Loop!!

Amy, I just reviewed NSFY on amazon.com. I'll type fast because I don't want to short out my keyboard with all of my drool, plus I NEED to get to my LYS pronto and get some yarn! The book is brilliant. Thank you so much.

Amy in Philadelphia in August?! Oh yeah, I'll be there. I will warn you that Philly in August is HUMID and HOT. Choose your travel wardrobe and hair products accordingly. ;-)

Will you sign my books (BGK and NSFY) if I didn't buy them at Loop? You signed Knit Wit for me at Stitches right after it came out and we got to chat briefly.

I am soooo bummed! You'll be in Philly the day I *have* to travel to Seattle.... Hopefully there will be another drivable location at a date before that!
Good luck!
(Still waiting for Amazon....)

Thanks for the link to fourfour, I have had to listen as my daughter worked her way through every episode of ANTM. Now I know what's going on!

I haven't seen that site before. I shall have to check it out! For my recapping needs I go to TWoP and read the wonderful Potes' recaps.

May I request New England?

Get your ass to New Mexico! Village Wools! Stay with me!!!

So close and yet so far..... I live 45 min. from Loop but the knittyfest is falling out on the one weekend this summer that is already spoken for.....

If only people could be in two places at once.........

Any chance we'll get the Spring Knitty before you leave for your trip?

Come to Edmonton! We're very charming.

A friendly reminder from your neighbourhood geek. Now would be a very good time to do a back-up of your computer system. karma being everything that it is, and all...

*Gasp* You're coming to HCW!!!!! I'm frantically trying to finish the Big Girl Knits "Cherry Bomb" for the occassion. (I even substitued cotton for wool, but I broke the rules by using self-striping yarn that makes horizontal stripes.) Does it cost money? The HCW just says "more details coming soon." I wouldn't worry about empty rooms. I'm worried that There won't be enough space.

I'm so psyched. I've already missed Debbie Stoller twice.

BTW- I was telling my friend about the book recently. We were wondering, if you are allergic to animal fiber, how have you managed to keep rabbits?
