A long chain of events

...led to the blue box being added to my right sidebar. You can't miss it, really.

Chain is as follows:

1. some nice person named RJ writes me to let me know that ubergeek Wil Wheaton loves our BMP and Binary patterns.

2. I notice the blue box on his site and click

3. turns out it's a way for people to request Wil visit their home town.

4. I realize I need to do the same thing for the No Sheep tour

5. pompous blue box appears on my blog.

So there you have it. I'll take the feedback from your clicks [if you want me to visit your town, please click] and pass it directly to the folks at Interweave who make the decisions about where they're going to send me. If your friends want me to come, they should click too. I think this could get interesting.

I love technology.

signed,
happy to be a mid-level geek,
Amy

Hee! How much do you want to bet that there is somebody out there casting on for Wil right now? My hubby-darling is a big fan, which I find completely inexplicable!

Oh, I'm totally clicking that box thingy; knitty is why I took up knitting again after a several year break. Also...m_ths. :-/ So while I'm not allergic to wool, No Sheep For Me. :-P

Keep on purlin'.

guaranteed. several people asked in his comments what size his feet were. :-)

Hey there, thanks for including an Eventful box on your blog. I've started a demand for the Philadelphia area.

Be well,
Amy

Oh, my. What a wickedly cool site. I, of course, in my egomania, also just signed up. (And I demand you for Vancouver.)

I'm geeky enough to know who Wil Wheaton is (but not that he has a blog or a life outside of Star Trek TNG).

So how do I fit on the geeky girl scale?

Wil Wheaton is super cool to hear speak as well. I was able to hear him speak last spring during his book tour. I wonder if the same bookstore could invite you.... Brookline Booksmith in Brookline MA. Anyway, come to Metro Boston!

I've done my part. Interweave, please do yours.

(NYC, NYC, NYC, NYC, NYC)

I realize this is off-topic, but: whenever I see the tag NSFY, my brain immediately responds with something like "Not Safe For... um... Yurk?"

Yeah. Just needed to share.

[Joins in the chanting with Carl]

No, it's Not Safe for Yurts.
Because Yurts require special handling, don'tcha know.

I think Perth, Western Australia should be up there on the list....:)

For Salt Lake City venues, I'd call Vonnie at Black Sheep Wool Co. (they also have non-wool, fyi), she's more likely to bring in someone to speak than any of the other yarn stores.
