She's back!

Long before there was a Knitty [like circa 1997], there was Wool Works: the online knitting compendium. I had the pleasure of meeting Emily in person, also before there was a Knitty, and was overwhelmed by her knitting knowledge and skill -- she was a steeker! She did Starmores in her sleep! So freaking cool.

Last night at Lettuce Knit, I saw Emily for the first time in a lot of years. She has a new wee girly bairn [so sweet!] and came wearing Inishmore. And bringing news...Woolworks is now being updated again! Very cool news, since this is one of the most comprehensive lists of all things knitting that ever lived on the web, including the cool list of North American knitting guilds that no one else has [as far as I know].

She's working on a redesign, and soliciting suggestions on her front page.

Welcome back, Emily! We missed you!

I definitely agree with you about Wool Works. Not only is it (still) the most comprehensive lists of all things knitting, but she did it all out of the goodness of her heart!

Great to see it mentioned and to know that she's taking it further!

Yeah, I had fun last night meeting Emily, and the baby is soooooo cute :)

I've found wool works very helpful over the years. I'm off to see what's up!

Thank you so much for the kind mention! The knitting muse had left me for a few years, but the wee bairn's arrival seems to have brought the knitting back with gusto. Woolworks.org updates are indeed going on behind the scenes, and I hope to unveil them and the new design by March 15.

Updates to the links directory are ongoing and I would love submissions, especially of blogs and knitalongs.

It's good to be back!
