Time for more tee vee & another guild!

And this time, I'm bringing a posse.

This coming Wednesday [April 11], sometime between 7-9am, I'll be talking No Sheep on Breakfast Television -- the Toronto edition. To add significant coolness, Rachel H, Jacquie and Miss Muffy have agreed to model the garments from the book. Can you imagine the hysteria?

My goal will be to get it on a VCR and then transfer it to digital, so I can upload it to YouTube. If anyone in the Toronto area can record direct to digital and can help me save a step, please let me know!

---

What am I doing the night before? Resting with a face mask on, reading something trashy and eating bonbons? Nope. I'll be driving to KW and back, so that I can talk to the great people of the KW Knitters Guild. They were the first guild I spoke to back in the Knit Wit days, and I was very flattered to be asked back. If you're in the area, please come out! [Yup, I"m doing the whole thing: trunk show, full electro-maniacal presentation and books will be available for purchase thanks to Cloth and Clay. If you've already got your copy, bring it along. I'll be very glad to sign it.]

I will be doing the resting with a face mask eating bon bons while reading a trashy novel the night before on your behalf.

I love BT. I'll be watching for you!

Make sure you have good directions . KW can be tricky (we have three King and Weber intersections; and North, South East and West do not have the same meaning as in other places). Other than that I look forward to seeing you Tuesday night.

Good luck or break a leg or what ever it is you say before a performance. Work out all those kinks before you come here to Philadelphia. I hope someone can get it on YouTube. That would be wonderful!

I'll PVR it - I don't think that Stock would give me the morning off & I might get myself committed if I try to explain why it would be so important.

I can record tv straight to DVD, so no problem. Now I just have to concentrate on not making an ass of myself on camera!

Looking forward to the Guild visit, Amy! But yes, heed the Harlot's warning and arm yourself with a good map (or even better, see if you can get a car with GPS) -- K-W is STUPID to navigate!!

Rachel H knows from the ferstuggenah directions in KW. She also knows I supply decent rescue maps at no extra charge ;-) Mail me if you want one. Or a phone number for light-by-light landing instructions on the way.

I'll be part of the Cloth & Clay book team!

See you Tuesday,

(Oy. So maybe with the anonymousity I could give some clue as to an email addy! *slaps forehead*)

The offer stands to give good directions to anyone what wants em.

Mail me by 3pm Tuesday.
Ta,
etc

Ah ha! I found the place going to see the Harlot, I can find it again. I'm so excited!

Dude. Take Lynn up on her offer Right Now.

Be careful about the uploading on YouTube. When my blog was featured on BT, I called for a transcript or tape of the piece (it was like 10 seconds or so), they sent me a whole legal blah blah that said that I could not upload it anywhere and stuff. They wanted to charge me $50 for the tape. I don't even have a VCR! I never saw the segment.
But my recommendation is: find out about the legalese.

say hello to kevin for me

Yippee! My very own copy of No Sheep came today. You've got yourself a winner; I think there are at least 3-4 items that I want to knit now (and that was after only a brief scan).

Just watched Breakfast Television- you were great! No shiny nose, well spoken-lots of nice clothes to show-good work!!!!! (My mother says "nicely done"-she's 78)(!)

Way to go Amy!! I'm sorry that we don't have cable so we don't get that channel, but from the sounds of things it was awesome. Congrats! Cheers to the models, too. xo L:

I enjoyed your talk at the guild last night. The garments were beautiful. I will admit that I had thoughts of how to convert Morrigan to wool. Does that make me evil?

Amy,

You were fabulous on BT this morning.
What a great show.

I also belong to the DKC and very much enjoyed your presentation there.
Informative and funny (goop method) I love it.

Keep up the fantastic work.

Dawn
