Amy is very broken

Hi, it's Jillian writing for Amy.

Amy is very broken. She is in hospital (with no internet connection) awaiting gallbladder removal surgery.

She is in a morphine induced haze, having been in blinding pain for two days. She was rushed to hospital by her intrepid and lovely husband at 2 am Monday.

Surgery is noon (EST) tomorrow, in case you'd like to think good thoughts at that particular time. She expects to be home, but bleary, Friday.

Please send her love!

Comments:
Best wishes, Amy! Hope all goes well.

Sending all kinds of love and speedy recovery wishes. I bet it's gonna feel great to have the bloody thing out!

Good news: this is something they can fix. Take the pain meds AS ORDERED: they can't play "catch-up" if you delay until the pain is unbearable.

Speedy recovery Amy! I haven't had a gallbladder since they removed mine in 1977. Extraneous little buggers...

Blessings!

Been there, done that, got the scars... but you feel so much better once the darn thing is gone!

I hope you have a "recovery knitting project" ready - once I was home I started a pair of socks and finished them before I went back to work - just think... forced knitting time! (You cannot lift, bend over or walk to far at first.) Get well soon.

Sending many hugs and healthy thoughts!

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Ditto about taking the pain meds as ordered.

Love and Laughter,
Amy

Oh noes! Poor Amy.

I have been there and it is the most sucky thing, but as someone else said, get the thing OUT and you will never have another gallbladder problem again.

Be good to yourself, use the pain meds (you DON'T get addicted if you're using them because you need 'em) and you'll be back home with the hub and the buns real soon.

Best,

johannab

Morphine is niiiicccce. J/K Hope you feel better soon, and think of all the forced knitting time you have ahead of you!

Oh no! Poor Amy.

Amy, you won't read this till after your surgery, but I'm sending you good wishes and thoughts anyway. Hope you have a full & speedy recovery.

(I confess that when I read the subject of this post, I thought our Amy had been in a Scooter accident, which would have been terrible as well given how much she loves her scooter. She may have the same love for her gallbladder, but gallbladders can't whisk you around Canada. Can they?!)

Please get better soon! Northern California loves you.

Hope you're right as rain as soon as can be!

Best,
jp
