somebody's got a sick sense of humor

i was just feeling rather fabulous [post-GB] when i got a cold. started slow and stealthy for a few days, and then hit me like a ton of bricks on Thursday. coughing all night [oh, how the hub loves THAT] despite the NyQuil, and then sleeping all day to make up for it. what a mess.

still, i keep pushing hard on the Knitty while i'm conscious and we're getting close. we should be going live soon, but exactly when...well, you'll have to stand by.

are you standing by? you can knit while you're waiting, you know.

thanks for your patience, guys. i promise never to have a gall bladder out again in the middle of an issue. :-)

Hope you feel better Amy. I'm sure the issue will be great. We can wait.

Feel better soon!!

Get well soon Amy. The world can wait a few days for Knitty!

Just get better, Amy. We don't mind waiting!

feel better soon :-)

y'know, this is how I look at it. We will just sit patiently (really) and not fuss. You have to take care of yourself and get better--- or there will be NO more Knitty and you know how we'd whine our sorry butts about that!!!!

Get well soon!

How selfish of you, having surgery AND getting sick now, too! Honestly, what about our needs?! ;-)

Take your time, get back to a full night's rest, and feel better. We'll find something to do while we look forward to the new issue! (I could start by knitting one of the 27 Knitty patterns I have printed up and waiting patiently on my desk, I suppose.)

You know, bunny Chucks might make you feel better..... ;-)

You know, if your doctor says you need your gall bladder removed again, you should probably switch doctors. ;)

Feel better. We'll wait.

Feel better Doll! The issues are always worth the wait and I'm sure this next one will be no different.

You, you, you - it's all about you - you and your gall bladder, you and your cold - just get better already... seriously, feel better soon...

Empathy (hack, hack) and, along with enduring patience, I send Get Well Wishes Galore flying your way! [Ragweed season has begun here in Texas.] Knitty is always worth waiting for.

Wait, hear that? Yeah, it's God laughing. And here I thought he only laughed at me! Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of your plans. Boy, someday, when I rule the world, things will be different, my friends, very different.

I feel for you, really. My allergies have been on HIGH alert for like 4 weeks now. I'm at the point where my body has built up a resistance to all medications. I've taken to sleeping with Vicks or Mentholatum under my nose so I can breathe. Sexy, no?

Dear Amy, take your time, take care of yourself. Your health comes first. We will wait and knit (I have still many projects I want to knit from Knitty or No sheep for you on my list)

Right, so the cold remedy of choice here in Dublin amongst my friends is the hot whiskey (or hot toddy, if you prefer). They swear by 'em! All the best to you in your recovery.

Big hugs and lotion tissues.

I had my Gallbladder out in June, so I especially won't hold it aginst you.

I am so glad I stumbled across this blog, because I have been freaking out over the absence of a new issue of Knitty for the past 11 days, but now I know why. *Peace of mind* Sorry to hear about your gall bladder though, that has got to be pretty rubbish :(

But yay, now I don't have to check knitty 16 times a day. So glad I found your blog :)

hope you're well soon.... stalking and refreshing like a mad-woman;) Have a trip coming up next week- and casting off current project in the next day or so--- hoping for a knitty-ful knit to travel with me...;) fingers crossed- and wishing wellness;)

good thing those gall bladders don't grow back! Thanks for all your hard work and take it easy!Wishing you wellness.

Yea! New Knitty but the load is WAY SLOW and I have a fast connection here...

Congrats on the scooter!!! I just got one too (went horizontal within the 1st 24 hours) but what FUNN!!! Mine's pink with white flowers.

Hope you are feeling better! Love the new issue! I can't decide what to knit first!

Gosh! What a beautiful issue!
Happy Anniversary!

New issue? Oh my word- I have my new season of knitting planned- my ony problem? What do I knit FIRST?

Good thing my current project is soaking in eucalan and I'm ready to cast on without guilt!

Amy, life without a gall bladder is a fine life indeed. I'm sure it's a useful organ in some way, but I'm 18 years post-surgery, and I haven't missed mine at all. So keep on feeling better and better and better.

Amy, I hope you feel better! I had my Gall Bladder out during my law school finals second year. Really inconvenient timing.

I just wanted to tell you how amazing the new issue is and especially thanks for the size range on the recent designs! I love that they all go up to 3X, which makes it so much easier for big girl knitting. I have meant to compliment this for awhile. I heart Knitty!!!
