going home.

well, i'm done teaching for the year. good timing -- i have totally lost my voice. seems that's going around, and i didn't help myself by talking nonstop for 3 days [only some of that was for work :-) ].

teaching at Threadbear was a blast, only superceded by hanging out with the Threadbear boys at their house. they are superb hosts and really, really nice guys. and the funny? big with the funny.

so i'm sitting on Jillian's couch, and will have to get myself together in a while and drive back home. i'm currently waiting for Fedex to bring my passport, which i brilliantly left on the dining room table instead of taking with me. lucky i managed to be allowed into the US, but there's no chance the Canadians would let me back in without my magic permanent resident card.

see you on the flip side!

Well, according to an article in the Detroit Free Press, you don't need a passport to enter the US. Part of the article reads that most Canadians are confused about this. And I might add most US citizens are also!

I am so angry at myself that I didn't know about you teaching at Thredbar, but I am so crazed right now I wonder that I find time to work, let alone do my hobbies!

Maybe another time, after all Toronto is not THAT far from Detroit area.

Oh, good lord...I hope you didn't catch anything from me! (Particularly after you and Jillian were both so sweet to the poor sick grad student...not to mention that I was so wiped out that I bailed on your class!)

Feel better, get a lot of rest, drink a lot of fluids, and spend quality Ladybug time as possible.

Just wanted to thank you for the GREAT Threadbear class on Friday night. It was too much fun. And, you were right, it is making a lot more sense after the class and knitting a bit. I started over on Saturday morning and I'm addicted - I'm dreaming about the thing, for crying out loud!

Thanks again, it was too cool to see you in person :)

I just wanted to say thanks for coming down to Lansing to teach classes! I really enjoyed taking your Tuscany shawl class and I think that once I figure out my gauge a bit better, it's going to be beautiful.

Good luck with your passport.. I hope that you can make it back home soon!
