all done.

folded vertically for pretty. each duvet is about the size of the top of the mattress, so we both have enough for ourselves and quite a bit to hang over the edge of the bed. yes, they're wrinkly. why bother ironing duvet covers when you'll just crinkle them as soon as you get into bed?

besides, i'm having trouble getting up in the morning. :-)

fabrics include Amy Butler's Belle, Lotus, Charm and maybe even Ginger Bliss, and some choice Kaffe Fassett Roman Glass. very glad they're done.

They turned out great! I love your choices of fabrics. Makes me want to go jump in my own bed and take a long winter's nap. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

They look beautiful. Nice choice of fabrics too. Congrats.

The colours in the fabric are great.

very pretty!!!

good job you!

They look fabulous. well done! Gorgeous fabrics.

They are so lovely! I want to make some, too.
Btw, life is far, far too short for ironing bedlinen.

Absolutely beautiful.

Those are beautiful. I love the mint green and pink piece. Against the black and yellow...striking.

I have 2 twin duvets abandoned my girls as too simple - I think I might see how this works.

Very nice! My favorite fabrics in there!

I totally share your philosophy on bedding & wrinkles. While there is some about militaristic precision and crispness, give me the come-hither look of a rumpled bed any day!!

I love the colours & patterns that you chose and am in awe of the amount of sewing!

Very pretty. I want to talk with Craig about this. We have two queen duvets. Hmmm.

But I would also need to learn to sew so I can have pretty ones like yours.

Absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations on finishing.

Make me one!

How do you get your husband to have a seperate duvet that you?

elizabeth: ha!

judy: when one thinks the other is a blanket hog, it's actually pretty easy to convince him.

everyone else: thanks for the nice words! i'm really loving them. hub, too.

Wow! They're great! And cool idea. I'm an inveterate blanket hog. Hubby would be very very happy with that arrangement.

Makes me wish I knew how to sew! Very pretty.

Amy - can you take pictures of the inside? I'm curious as to how they're finished. I'm going to make myself a set. We already have two totally different duvet covers, but I like the matchy-matchy look of these.

Oh my "g"...it's beautiful! Funny, I have started a big stash of similar fat quaters, mostly from the Amy Butler collections...and wanted to make a Duvet. What pattern di you use...or you craft girrl...you probably thunk it up yer self? (did I miss directions?)
Thanks for the photo...me like.

They look so very pretty and so very cozy! How can you get anything done - I'd be napping in them all day.
