Once you pause a program, to let life interupt or rewind to catch something you missed, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. Not essential but nice..

TiVo will change your world and you will never know how you lived without it. You'll then be getting a network adapter for it so it can download the guide quicker and you can yank recordings off the box onto your home computer using TiVo Desktop. Then you can save your shows with your DVD burner.

TiVos beget more technology. We own two.

It's the most amazing thing since sliced bread, you'll never be able to watch regular TV again.

Tivo is the gift that keeps on giving. My parents gave us one two years ago for Christmas, and it's like a thoughtful friend that requires no reciprocation.

My favorite things are Season Passes and suggestions. Don't discount the suggestions- that's how I discovered House, Project Runway, and Top Chef.

*drools* Oh, that sounds so fun. But I can't save up the money because I keep spending it on yarn!
