the complete look

[i snork at myself. that sounds so silly.]

but seriously. you saw the new hair. you heard about the new glasses, bought at my eye doctor's office [which i had to return when their lab did such a horrible job of filling my rx -- and I got a full refund on those because it was so badly screwed up]. well, these are my NEW new glasses, extra special because Denny helped me choose them.




instead of rimless, these are half-rimmed, which are great for progressives. for anyone in Toronto who's a tough, fussy fit like i am, i can highly recommend Crystal Beach Optical @ 416-698-3937. Ted has a fully equipped shop and is a really detail-oriented professional. patient, thorough. nice guy. good selection of frames.

that is all. off to the Yarn Roundtable!

Very nice! I too wear progressives (love them - great for knitters who watch movies at the same time!) and am about to get new ones... I'll look for that half rim and see how it looks on me.

Amy, I saw your blog post about the origami print fabric. I live in Hawaii and there is a fabric store here that has the best selection of asian and Hawaiian print fabric for only $4.50/yd. I didn't see the one you have when i quickly glanced through their asian collection on the website, but that doesn't mean they don't have it. If you like, I can check the store in person (very close to my house) and see if they have it. Otherwise, is a similar print okay? How much you need?

Great glasses - i have almost the exact same ones! i love them, i call them my lawyer glasses b/c compared to my old funky plastic frame, crazy colored ones, these are very subdued.

they look great on you!
