where i am

dateline: venice, FL
beach time: 10 minutes [too crowded]
pool time: hours and hours
skin condition: lightly pink
favorite thing consumed: lemon picked from a tree nearby
current state: sore throat [mild but threatening]
current location: bed

the place my folks rented is decorated in late grocery-store-sale-section, but it's got everything we need, the beds are comfy and the pool is fabulous. i hope i am not really sick so i get to go in again before i have to fly home. more pics here, and more to come when i get them off the camera.

hub is home with a killer cold in snow and freezing rain. that's not fair, but we guess it's better that he didn't fly all the way here to be stuck in bed.

nighty.

Love the sand picture! BTW, saw you on "Knit and Crochet Today" Saturday morning. I really enjoy that show.

That's not fair. You are in Venice and I am stuck in MA in the rain. Venice/Nokomis is my usual winter home, but hubby had medical probs and kept us home this winter. Enjoy, it's a wonderful place for a vacation.

My Mom's cure all is sea water. Gargle with sea water for a sore throat. Does it work? Who knows, but it looks like you've got plenty of sea water.

Well crap on toast!!!! GET BETTER for pete's sake, you don't want to go and waste freakin' Florida being sick. A bloody waste of time! ACK! I feel soooooo bad for you!

That totally sucks. Hope you feel better soon enough to enjoy yourself. Let someone take care of you and stay in bed and knit. Oh, and while you're there, see if someone can go out and get you a flat of fresh strawberries. I used to live down there, near Tampa, and it's strawberry season!

Sorry you're not feeling well, Eat lots of the fresh lemons, grapefruits and strawberries and you should be feeling good soon. My sisters in-laws live in Tampa and I always look forward to the fresh grapefruits from their backyard tree sis sends my way. Way better than what the grocery stores have. :)

You fly all the way there from the snow and cold to just sleep in a chair by the pool.

It's sun therapy - fixes almost everything. :-)

You won't get a tan in jeans! We here in Florida pride ourselves on our winter tans! Hope you've had a great time - feel better! Soak up some sunshine and vitamin D. It'll fix you right up!!
sks
