Let me be your boogaloo!

The 1980s wasn't all about Duran Duran. I just think you should know.

I was searching for chords for Jane Siberry songs and ran across this. This is one of my favorite Siberry songs. Jane is so young in this video, and so adorable. I guess I was young and adorable too when I watched it the first time.

Ahhh. Our Lady Jane. She of the razer-thin lips and nose and quirky, quirky music. Thanks for the video; I didn't ever think of scouring YouTube for Jane.

Thank you so much! I love Jane, and I haven't seen a video by her in, well, I guess in decades...and I never did see that one! Happy happy!

While not exactly a giant follower of Jane Siberry I certainly understand the need to educate people about the lesser know acts of the 80's. I can't believe how many people I've had to tell about Joan Jett. Really? Joan? She was BIG then!

Anyhooz - you've totally rekindled my ukulele fire. I'm at least 3x better than last Wed and I even got new strings. Whee!

Seeing this reminds me of many a late night listening to "Nightlines" and "Brave New Waves" on CBC Stereo. American radio had NOTHING to compare to the amazing late-night alternative radio in Canada. I still have tapes (!) of shows. And nowadays I listen to Toronto's jazz.fm in the mornings just to hear Ralph Benmergui's friendly voice (even though I'm not a jazz fan much). THANK YOU AMY! Jane rules! Ann in Ohio

When, oh when, will Fall Knitty be up?

The 80s wasn't all about D2?
surely, you jest.
(no, Jane = good stuff!)

Love the Jane link. Partly because she has one of the all-time best voices on the planet about which we cannot be reminded too frequently. Partly because it's validated my inability to consistently pluck my eyebrows. On both counts, thank you!
