Anezka Handmade

Every glamour girl needs something to keep out the early morning light while she gets her beauty sleep.

This sleep mask knit in luxurious Muench Touch Me will put you into sleepy velvet oblivion. It's edged in a soft but not overly fluffy eyelash yarn to add to the boudoir mood. [If you substitute the Boa, choose a short eyelash yarn. You don't want fluff getting up your nose!]

Knit in garter stitch, with some shaping to keep it interesting, this mask is a super quick knit. In no time you'll be just like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Sweet dreams.

Special Finishing Treatment for Touch Me:
[Thanks to Sally Melville's The Knit Stitch for instructions on how to treat Touch Me.]

Ignoring the care instructions on the label, machine wash mask in warm water and dry on medium setting [trust me, it'll be fine]. This will slightly felt the yarn, preventing worms and giving it a nifty crushed velvet appearance. Your mask can now be machine washed forever.

Sew on elastic at each edge just slightly higher than the centre point to fit your head snugly. Now go have your beauty rest.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Stephannie Roy is so persistently sleep deprived she doesn't need a mask. She'll sleep anywhere.
