DIRECTIONS Work in Garter Stitch in the round until piece measures 0.75 inches from CO edge. Change to larger needle. Pattern Placement Rnd: Keeping patt correct, work in established pattern until garment measures 15[15.5, 15.5, 16, 16, 16] inches or desired length to underarm, ending last rnd 8[8, 8, 9, 9, 9] sts before end of rnd. Divide for underarms: Note: Make a note of which rnd number you worked last to ensure sleeves end on the same rnd. Break yarn and set aside.
SLEEVES Work in Garter Stitch in the round until piece measures 0.75 inches from CO edge. Change to larger dpn and work in Garter Stitch Basket Weave Pattern for 1 inch. Sleeve increases: Rep Inc Rnd every 10[8, 8, 8, 8, 8] rnds 6[13, 13, 4, 10, 1] more times, then every 8[6, 6, 6, 6, 6] rnds 8[4, 4, 16, 8, 20] times. 79[85, 92, 98, 101, 107] sts. Work even until sleeve meas 17.5 inches or desired length to underarm, ending on the same rnd as body, changing to circular needle when necessary, and ending last rnd 8[8, 8, 9, 9, 9] sts before end of rnd. Sl the next 16[16, 16, 18, 18, 18] sts to a stitch holder and sl rem 63[69, 76, 80, 83, 89] sts to waste yarn.
YOKE Join for yoke: Work 1 rnd even. Dec for yoke as follows, changing to shorter needle when necessary: [Work Dec Rnd, work 1 rnd even] 8[13, 16, 18, 18, 20] times. 250[250, 268, 284, 318, 342] sts Work even until garment measures 21.25[23.5, 25, 26.25, 26.75] inches, ending after cable rnd 11 or 23, if possible. |
FINISHING Work in Garter Stitch in the round until neckband measures 0.75 inches. BO all sts loosely. Graft underarm sts tog. Block garment. Weave in ends. |
