This wrap pattern is inspired by my recent trip to Europe, traveling through Germany, Italy, and France. The layers upon layers of history were astounding to see in person. Among the most memorable experiences was the church we visited that was built atop ruined Roman columns. The scars of age etched into the ancient marble ingrained themselves into my mind.

I deliberately spun the yarn thick and thin to show texture and "wear" when knit into the pattern. When finished the wrap looks like a sturdy and ancient Ionic column, however, when worn the drape of the lofty yarn will wrap you up in a bundle of comfort.
