L'esprit romantique et très féminin de l'époque Victorienne m'a toujours inspiré. J'ai eu envie de faire un tricot qui symbolise l'atmosphère de cette époque. Entre Oscar Wilde et tea time, c'est une ballade dans mon « jardin anglais ».

The romantic and very feminine spirit of the Victorian era has always inspired me. I wanted to design a sweater that symbolized the atmosphere of this era. Between Oscar Wilde and tea time, this is a ballad in my english garden.

FINISHING

Block pieces to dimensions given in schematic.

Sew lower panels to Back and Front pieces, behind ruffles, aligning tops of lower panels with marked rows.

Sew Fronts to Back at shoulder seams.

Collar
Using smaller needles and MC, beginning at right front edge of neckline, pick up and k 1 st in each bound off stitch at beginning of neckline shaping, 1 st in each row along shaped portion (decrease rows) of front neckline, 3 sts for every 4 rows along neckline edge to shoulder, 1 st in each bound off st along back neckline, 3 sts for every 4 rows along left neckline edge from shoulder to top of neckline shaping, 1 st in each row along shaped portion of neckline, and 1 st in each bound off st along left front neckline.

Count the number of sts on your needle. To center the color pattern properly on the collar, it is necessary to have a multiple of 5 sts. On the Count the number of sts on your needle. Using smaller needles and MC, with RS facing and beg at lower right front edge, pick up and k 3 sts for every 4 rows along right front edge to collar, then pick up and p 3 sts for every 4 rows along lower edge of collar.

Work 10 rows in Seed Stitch. BO all sts.
Make Left Front Band to match.
Weave in all ends.
Sew sleeves into armholes.
Sew sleeves seams and side seams.
Lightly steam collar.
