It's that time again

As we gear up for the next issue of Knitty [our 2nd anniversary issue...how did that happen?], this is when the KnittyBlog gets a little quiet.

I have a lot to do in order to get us ready for this issue, and wait till you see our surprise this fall. It's amazing. On the personal side, I have a new writing assignment [very exciting, but no details yet] and my Interweave column is due soon, too.

All this means it'll be quiet here for a few weeks. See you in September!

Team Knitty has broken the $2000 barrier!

Thanks to the kind folk listed on the right [my donors], and the donors for the rest of Team Knitty, we've surpassed our $2000 goal. That means that Elann.com, our generous sponsor, is now sending a check for the matching $2000cdn, bringing our total donation so far to more than $4000.

We have always loved Elann as a retailer and valued advertiser with Knitty. This kind of above-and-beyond support shows how special they are. Thank you, Ann and Robert!

If you'd like to join the good company of our donors, feel free to click on any of the names under the Team Knitty logo at the right and donate to their fundraising accounts directly. More money for breast cancer research does more good!

getcher silken here!

Actual pictures of silken colorways are now online at Village Yarns!

No affiliation, beyond friendship, regular patronage of their shop and the fact that VY is a Knitty advertiser, which don't hurt. :-)
